Today my wife's phone had a wierd issue. Work all day with phone in her bag and a standby time of 9 hours. The phone was dead at the end of her shift when she pulled it out of her bag. I plugged it into the charger and can see it died around 4pm. Strange thing is that there is no app culprit. Most used was screen but for 23 mins and only used about 40mah. The rest were lower. In fact all the mah usage doesn't add up to the battery total. Not sure what's happened.

How's the cell signal at work? Poor signal can eat up battery pretty quickly, since the phone has to work overtime to latch onto the signal.

It was fine. Nothing had used any power really in the battery info. Very strange. Will see how it fairs today.

Was it a steady decline, or a sudden dropoff? If the latter, that may be due to a battery dendrite, which is unfortunately irreversible.

Possibly a rogue app or process. Try installing GSam Battery Monitor, in case this happens again -- it can give more detailed information.

Did you receive an update from the carrier prior to this event? I have my GS6E on AT&T and I received a SW update less than 2 weeks ago and my battery drain was horrible afterwards (like, 25% per hour even when it was not in use). Since then, it has stabilized and is back to normal.
