Samsung Galaxy S6 How long did the "Restoring..." take on setup?

My restoring process seems to be taking forever. I tried to restart the phone to skip the restoring step, but it just goes right back to it. It's been restoring for over 2 hours now. Is this normal?

Restoring what from what? If you mean restoring apps after a new version, that depends on how fast the phone is and how many apps you have. Two hours sounds a bit excessive, but I'd just plug in the charger and leave it overnight. If 8 more hours doesn't do it, the update probably got corrupted. Then you'd have to ask the carrier for assistance. (If you're in the US, the carrier is responsible if they send something to your phone that renders it useless.)

S4, and I don't think I had that much info.
It entered the restoring screen right after asking about google backup. I entered in my google ID, then it started restoring. That's as far as I've gotten in the setup. Over 2 hours now.

Got it fixed. Something happened with the Google update. I had to factory reset the phone.

hello, it is happening to me, I just bought a T&T samsung galaxy S6 edge, I turned on and I add my google account and it start a restoring process, I think it is taking too much time, so I should reset it and then I don't have to add any account right_?
