I tried everything suggested on this thread but nothing helped. My wifi on S7 will never get internet connectivity.

Only thing that worked for me was to reset my Archer C7 router to default and then reconfigure my router again. Now my S7 WiFi is working with same speed as my Nexus 9.

Having the same problem with wifi. I have the CenturyLink fiber modem/router and I checked for new firmware. There is none. I also looked for the ipv4 only setting and there isn't one. I also turned off Bluetooth. That didn't help. I also switched to the 5ghz band. That didn't resolve the issue. About 10 minutes after I get home my wifi stops working on the phone and crawls to a zero pace. Speedtest can't detect a signal. Switch to 4g and everything going is fine. I go back to wifi and the process starts again. Any suggestions based on everything I've tried?

I have optimum and I went and got a new router and now my wifi works

I can't get a new router because CenturyLink has their stupid proprietary fiber modem/router all in one unit. I tried to buy a couple different fiber modems and they wouldn't work. I fear the only thing I can do is to just reset the modem constantly which interrupts my television service. Hoping for a fix soon.

Hi guys, I just made an account to air my frustration with the wifi issue. I hope they release an update soon. I'm an android fanboy but I guarantee apple would never ship a phone with a massive problem like this. Shame on Samsung.

Guess you never heard of "Antennagate" with the iPhone 4. In which Apple sent out free bumpers to people because they'd lose signal if they weren't holding the iPhone 4 "properly."

Apparently, the huge patch I got yesterday did nothing to fix this wifi problem.
Seems to just be large streaming type apps, like Pandora, Playstore, Shazam, etc. Would even slowly load the Play Store icons. Not to mention, the Bluetooth drops the phone and doesn't deliver audio in my Ford truck's Sync and GM's Pandora.
I shut Bluetooth off and all these apps resume working. Agreed: Major issue! Not too happy about it at all.

Well, I was having issues where the wifi was working perfectly. Then I'd put the phone down for a while. When I came back to it, the wifi was shut right off. I had to go into settings and turn it back on. This happened for the first day and a half I had it. Then we had a severe wind and hail storm that lasted no more than 15 minutes and it knocked out our cable and Internet. Once back, I had to re-enter the security code on my Internet to hook up, and it's been perfect ever since. So I'd try disconnecting your wifi and clearing out your security codes. Wait a bit, then re-enter and see what happens. It might save you a trip to your carrier.

I have resorted to using a vpn app at home as this is the only place I have an issue, it has helped immensely. It was also suggested to set up a guest network on my router as this has worked for some and my wifi works on other guest networks. I will have my son try it and report back.

im having similar issues plus another on top of it, my issue is that my s7 edge always has problems with internet connectivity (since i got it) mostly with wifi and as well have bad cell service (AT&T) compared to my s6 active.. so across both wifi and network im having internet connectivity issues and its aggravating.. any sort of resolutions?

Just payed the wife's iPhone 6 plus off we were thinking of getting the S7 Edge buy one get one free with Verizon but with these WiFi/Bluetooth problems I'm not to sure we should do it now I can deal with other things but not connecting to Wifi is unacceptable. Is this happening to just Verizon or other carriers also.

, I couldn't download anything from Google weather at the Play Store YouTube you named it. I could use data though. Upgraded router problem solve fast as Lightning now

I was having the same WiFi issue, until I turned off BT. If BT is off, or if BT is on AND connected to a peripheral device, the WiFi is perfect. If the BT is on, and not connected to anything, the WiFi doesn't work. lolSamsung

I tried your solution after searching online and going crazy to find an answer for my recent wifi issues with my new S7. From most of the forums I've read, seems like Samsung nor Verizon know what the problem is. My wifi issues started last night after I finally decided to do the recent update. I knew it wasn't the routers because the wifi problems happened at home and at work. All of my other devices connected just fine. Although my bluetooth share didn't actually force close no matter how many times I hit it, but it this quick process stopped my wifi issue. It's only been about an hour since it's gone back to normal so i'm crossing my fingers hoping this is the fix until Samsung corrects it. Thanks.

I also am having the same issue. WIFI Connected but no internet. I did everything samsung said to do, and then also rebooted Comcast router. I tried playing around with channels, reserving IP, etc, but still nothing. Verizon swapped my phone out for a new one The new phone connected to my home WIFI at download speeds of 60mbps for about a good 10 minutes. Then it shot to hell like the other phone. 2 brand new S7 edges and both have the same problem. If anyone else has better luck, please let us all know.

Same wifi issue with the exception that my 5g works fine and the 2.4 does not work unless I turn off blue tooth

Wow! Looks like Im not alone too... I was troubleshooting like crazy to find out the cause of my wifi dropouts and very slow Wifi. Turning off bluetooth definitely gave a boost in speed (from 5mbit to 41-47mbit).

Not the ideal 802.11AC speeds which my router supports but actually its unusable now.

I'm also on Verizon.

Read a post where a rep at verizon said that its a marshmallow issue and a fix is imminent.

Welp, second time posting here tonight, lol. This one is a little bit odd. A few hours ago, I notice my internet at home is being super slow, dropping connection, what not. After messing around a bit, I disable wifi, and the issue instantly goes away. Another hour into messing with things, and I realize it is my phone that is somehow causing the problem. I turn on wifi on the phone, and the internet has all sorts of problems, but the moment I disable wifi, everything is fine.

I've checked to make sure the phone isn't downloading anything, it isn't. And even if that were the case, I was downloading tons of things earlier with no issue at all. But, nothing is downloading, the phone, to the best of my knowledge, is just sitting there, being totally idle. With wifi off, there is zero data usage happening, so I don't think it is doing anything at all.

I read around, some people said it could be the wifi hotspot stuff, but I checked, and that is also off. I was looking at the wifi direct stuff that is listed in the wifi options, thought maybe that had something to do with it, but I can't even find a way to turn that off at all. When I open the wifi direct stuff, all it says is that my device is visible to other devices.

So, once again, here I am, hoping that someone here might be able to help me out with this. If anyone has experienced a similar issue, or has any idea what might be causing the problem, I'd definitely love to hear any and all information. The phone was totally fine up until a few hours ago, just turned on wifi again to test, and the internet instantly starts freaking out again.

Check to see if your wifi security mode is on WPA2/WPA. if so, change to WPA2
