Samsung Galaxy S9 in Development. should I wait or get the S8?

I don't think Samsung is moving away from curved screens, unfortunately. Might do bendy ones, but not going away from curves for at least a couple more iterations.

Agreed, people seem to either like it, willing to move past it and use the phone anyways, or they're not interested in a Samsung phone in the first place.

I would agree with you. I think the demand is and will be high enough for them to bring back a flat screen option in the next year or two.

The decision to wait or pull the trigger is a personal decision that only the OP can make. It depends upon the current daily driver is meeting the need, is within the budget and/or having the latest gadget is too overwhelming.

I may just go for the S8 Active. I'll have to switch carriers but if it gets me the flat screen I'll be very happy. I've already tried out the S8 & S8+. The S8 is to narrow for my hands and typing was hard to get used to, the S8+ was great but it was a little to big for me. So I'll just continue to wait for the S8 Active, or I'll look somewhere else.

Lol! I've decided to actually wait. I was let down with the S8. I just don't like the curved screen at all. I'm hoping with the S9 biometrics will be imbedded within the screen, and the screen will be "flat" or 2.5D glass like on my S6. Easier to protect with tempered glass & a LifeProof. And maybe they'll get the red tint issue corrected too. Haha Overall, I'm still happily rocking my Sprint Samsung Galaxy S6 on Boost Mobile.

p.s. Battery is meh. Lucky to get 3 hours of sot. But I make due. ??????

Personally, after hearing about Samsung making more phones, I'm returning my s8 and waiting for the s10! I hear this phone will be more technically superior to the s8 and s9 combined!

Id wait for the s27 I hear they are adding a flux capacitor and it will be offered in the s27 and the s27x. The only difference is the x has jet packs and machine guns. Gear vr headset is also included as expected.
