After exchanged from the 128GB version to 256GB version, my battery still dropping 2% per hour during standby.
For contexts I'm using the same apps that I'm currently using on my Samsung S9, Samsung Tab S1,S2,S4. Vudu, Netflix, Chrome, Youtube, Twitch TV, and Yahoo Mail.
All apps are data and wi-fi restricted in the background, location off, S-pen air action off, Bluetooth off, Briefing off, Daily Board off, no keyboard attached, factory reset, wiped cache partition, re-calibrated the battery by using code *#0228#, Airplane mode with only wi-fi on and auto updates off but none seem to work.

Welcome to Android Central! It'd be helpful to see more detailed battery stats over the course of a full battery charge. Charge up to 100%, then let it drain to 20-30% with normal usage, without charging in between. Then show us:

1. The main Settings>Battery screen.
2. The fullscreen battery graph screen (which may show Awake time and Cell Signal Strength).
3. The Screen category (to see total Screen On time).
4. The Cell Standby category, if present (to see Time Without Signal).

You might have to install a 3rd party battery monitor, like GSam Battery Monitor, to get the Cell Signal Strength graph, but this is only if you want to see how things are when you're not in Airplane Mode (and assuming you have the LTE version).

A thought here. In other systems, in standby or hibernation, or connected standby, the battery is sometimes impacted by the apps or items you may leave open. In many cases, leaving a browser window has been known to suck battery, 'while sleeping'. Some network connections will do the same. Give your system a once over ...just to be sure.

Ijust close my S6 without consideration as to what is on the screen. I do NOT see the drain you are reporting. This hints at an altered configuration, or app based.

I am not seeing this at all. In fact I am quite pleased with the battery performance of the S6.

my tab s6 does drain much faster than my tab s5e when sitting idle. its easily 2-3 times faster drain. both have the same apps, connected to the same wifi in the same house. its still new and hasnt had much in the way of drain/recharge cycles yet so maybe its still calibrating. im am super impressed with the s5e standby though. i hope i see similar levels on the s6 after a bit.

i lost like 3 % in 8 hours stand by,
im pretty happy with this device , i had the s4 but this one is better.
and im loving the dex mode . for my use this blows away the ipad i just returned and the surface go, not to mention i never open my spectre 360 anymore.

I checked mine this morning , it used 4% in 16 hours with 23 min screen time . I don't think my ipad was any better than that .
