Samsung Galaxy Watch4 not staying conneted

My issue:
I have a Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 Classic and using with a Motorola Moto G Power (v 11) phone...all updates performed. Mine watch doesn't seem to hold connection past a few feet! If I lay the watch on the phone, it'll stay connected. As soon as I pull the watch away from the phone, I'll lose connection....like 2 foot away.
The phone seems to connect with other devices without issues.
