Samsung Gear 2 smartwatch and Fleksy

Hi all,

I just got my son's Samsung Gear 2 smartwatch and installed Fleksy so I could text on it. When I click on it on my watch all I get is a black screen. Can someone tell me what might be happening or if I did something wrong? Fleksy shows up in My Apps on my Gear Manager. Thanks!

You don't need Fleksy to text on it. Old school t9 comes standard.
