Hey guys, about an hour or two ago my Samsung GS3 stopped detecting my touch on the touchscreen. I have tried a battery pull for several minutes (and am currently doing it again right now), but it didn't seem to help. Also, my phone will sometimes randomly unlock or S-Voice will open.

I was sitting on it in the car by accident, and when I picked it up to check my messages the touch screen wasn't working. It was working about 5 to 10 minutes prior. I have tried to root my phone in the past, but have not successfully done so. I still have the Superuser file on my phone. If I end up needing to take it into the store, will having this file void my warranty? Thanks for any help!

If your phone isn't rooted I don't see how the Superuser binaries can be on the phone.

If the phone isn't locked you could connect it via USB to your PC and use adb to remove files (if you have Developer options enabled).

And you could also use the Kies software to backup your contacts, SMS/MMS, pictures/videos, etc.

sometimes there's some stuff on my screen that won't make it work. like died soda or snot. Try cleaning your screen. even breathing on it and cleaning w your shirt should fix it if that's the issue
