Samsung GS7edge - Verizon Users Thread

I thought the same until i saw how sleek and sexy the black is! I haven't had a black phone since, I don't know when.

All I've had are black until the silver S7E. I'm gonna roll with blue coral and if I don't like it I'm going back to titanium. I'm not gonna follow the Verizon thread over on the Note 7 forum. They're already getting hyped up over there. 😑

I popped in over there and all it was were peeps complaining about not getting the phone early. This thread felt like a friend/family get together from the start.

Truth.

I found felloffthetruck over there lurking, but the release cycle for the S7 was by far my favorite.

I've decided to get the Note 7 as well. I've got unlimited data, but you can't do the whole payment plan thing unless you're out of contract and I've got like a year left.

The people in the Note forum just talk about how much better the note feels in hand than the edge. It's really not much bigger, just a tad bit taller. I like all the new power saving features too. Plus, my S7 edge is full. I needed a 64gb device. I'm constantly cleaning it off just so I can update apps. My S6 edge was the 64gb version but didn't have that option with the S7 edge.

I may just keep my S7 edge as a backup. I'm not really sure yet.

The s7 edge will get those updates that the note has . But still its all subjective. Everyone decides what they want and what feels best for them. I just hate to see people falling for the "new" when its the same device. Exact same specs, will be running the same software when thr s7 edge gets the nee grace UI. I think its justifable to spend 800$ only if you really like the bigger size and use the pen. Otherwise its all mental because it was released 5 months later

Lol yeah i dont get it either . If it had 6 gb of ram that would be more justifable

I primarily got the S7E because I drowned my Note Edge and Asurion replaced it with a Note 5. I can't complain, but I can because I loved the edge functionality of the Note Edge. So I went with the S7E and was very happy with the functionality and decided to keep it until the Note 7 came out because I love the big screen, love and use the S-Pen, and they reintroduced external memory.

S7 edge will never get a bigger storage option though. Plus, by time the s7 edge gets those updates, it'll probably be almost time for the s8 and I'll be about to upgrade again.

I'm not falling for the new thing though. Overall, I'm disappointed with the Note 7. It should have had more ram and more battery in my opinion. However, I have a Note 8 tablet that I used to love using for taking notes but it's old now. I'm hoping that the Note 7 spen will integrate well into my work flow. That's why I went ahead and got it. I just wish I didn't have to get a new Gear VR to use it.

Im sticking with the s7e. I love new flashy things but i cant justify buying a new one. I will just wait until next year and see what the 8s come out with!

I'm staying put for now as well. The 7 pulls my pocket strings pretty hard but even getting a great sale on swappa for the edge puts me in the hole quite a bit. I'll wait and see when some good prices show up there for the new note.

I'm excited too. I am going today. Still haven't figured out what color I'm getting though...might stick with silver so friends and family don't realize I have no self control.

LMAO!!! you better continue to check in to this thread and don't abandon use for the Note snobs...LOL

Lol i considered switching. But even as slim as the note is, it is still slightly too big. Also there is nothing about it that stands out over the edge. Same specs. The UI will come to s7 s7edge so. Only thing i love is the symmetry. Which youll never see because i use a case lol. If it had 6 gb of ram i might consider it . I don't use the spen though. Also, reviewers are noting slight lag every so often because its only 4 gb with extra things running (ie. Spen) so have fun with that 😝 lol

Heck yeah, I will! There's a gaggle of us Edgers over in the N7 forums. I'll only turn up my nose slightly to my lovelies over here. 😜

Lol people say the s7 edge lags too. I don't know, I expect a hiccup every now and then. If I don't like it though, I'll return it. If I like it enough, I had just sell both my S7 and S6 edges. I normally keep a backup, but I never end up needing it. Between those two and all the accessories, it should cover the cost

Yea.. I love shiny and new, but I am going to try and resist this one and stick with the S7 Edge.

I love the thicker sides as I have to use a minimal case on the S7E to keep from screen touches on the edges and I hate cases,. The iris scanner is cool and would love/use that feature. I used to use the S-pen once or twice a week even after the initial novelty period so it is useful, but not a deal breaker to not have it either. The slightly larger size and weight wouldn't bother me at all, but I slightly prefer the S7e size. Wish it came in a darker blue, but I wouldn't mind the coral blue. That said I am very happy with the silver on the S7e.

If it only had a bigger battery I think I would not be able to resist. I usually have to drop the S7e on the charger at some point, but only because I have wireless chargers everywhere. when I need it to it will get me through the day. I doubt I could do that with the Note 7.

I assume the Note will get Android N before the S7e and when that happens maybe I will re-visit the decision.

Haha, did you bang your gavel with that decision?

Come with us, it'll be fun! I did a side by side comparison of my Spigen Rugged Armor for both phones because the did chose not to see the phone in person this time and it's a difference for sure. Note series has officially drawn me back into the fold.

i think i'm going to skip this one also... even though black is tempting this time around....
