Coming from a Note 9, when did Samsung take away the pulse and stress etc. Measurements? And if they truly did, why?

That's very upsetting for my mother who likes to keep track of these things due to underlying health conditions. Any particular reason why they did it?
I'm assuming so people have to buy their smart watches which have those features.

That's what I was afraid of. It's a shame companies do this to their base. Even when buying expensive products, they take away features that once were standard to make a few extra dollars...

Well I think when Samsung designs devices with new hardware - or trying to make room for bigger batteries, they have to prioritize given the limited amount of space they have. They tend to take out hardware that few people actually use. The same compromises are made on the software front as well - though they don't have to be nearly as economical there. This is the reason that the IR Blaster was taken out of the Note with the Note 5. Taking heartrate and stress with your phone was cool but was a novelty that few people used when watches became available that could continually monitor those metrics.
With the Note 10, those sensors went away, along with the headphone jack and the iris scanner, but it gained an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint reader, a 3-camera module with a time of flight sensor, a bigger battery, reverse wireless charging

The watches probably also have much more accurate measurements, if you don't want to pay for a watch, there is a lot cheaper but very good fitness/health bands it will work with, it's not like you have to wear it all the time.

That went away on the 10 series

Samsung removed the HR and o2 (pulse and oxygen sensor) after the Note 9) I work in the medical field and the o2 and Heart rate was not accurate and wouldn't work correctly with the in screen FPS. If you really need / want one it's much better to buy a real pulse oximeter.

Yeah, I will always miss the iris scanner. I liked having two secure methods of unlocking my phone. I only have one on my Note 20 Ultra. I'm going to have to figure out how to change enough settings to compensate for the led notification.

Reverse wireless charging is still something that I never see myself using. I doubt that I will let my buds run out of power and that would be the only reason that I would ever use it.
