Samsung Health vs Google Fit?

I am a long time user of Samsung Health and only had Google Fit on my Skagen Falster 3 Wear OS 2 watch to count my AHA Heart Points. It received most of it's other data (sleep, heart rate, BP, and SaO2) from Samsung Health via Health Sync. It also got it's weight from a Yunmai smart scale that synced data to both SH and GF. I have not installed GF on the GW4 yet. What are peoples views on simultatneous use of SH and GF on the GW4?

It seems to work fine concurrently... Although I'm unfortunately not a person who really works out (really should get back on that treadmill...). Obviously Samsung health pulls a lot more data.

As an aside I just realised the 4 hasn't been nagging me to get up and move around... Not good lol.

Did you notice a dropoff in battery when you installed and started running google fit? I would only install to give the Wear OS watchfaces the data they need for the watchface complications

I used Google Fit years ago when I had the Pixel. Since my last 3 phones have been Samsung it's been all Samsung Health, which I guess makes sense keeping everything in the ecosystem. I find SH to work quite well.

I have no complaints about Samsung Health either. I love the info you can put in there and get out of it. You just need to be disciplined enough to DO IT (for the manual stuff) LOL! :D

Now using them simultaneoulsy. I like the tile for the AHA Heart points from Google Fit. It's truly like having a hybrid Tizen/Weae OS watch.

Mine used to tell me to get up LOL! What setting is it I don't think this watch has told me anything. I just turned on a bunch of notification setting so will see what it does tomorrow. I just don't want to see them on my phone too.

Mine notifies me, but I forget where I set that at.

So, I have been using GFit and Samsung Health and honestly, SH is just more detailed and better integrated into my Watch/Phone.

Doing comparisons, I just like the information and details that SH gives over GFit.

If running simultaneously, did you notice a dropoff in battery?

On watch if you go to settings, samsung health then notifications, the first item is a toggle that says "Inactive Time Alerts" and below it you can tell times to notify you.

Thanks! All mine are on it looks like. I just haven't seen it tell me to get up yet. LOL!

Is there any way to turn off the voice that announces your workout milestones during a workout?

If you have the Samsung Health Start Workout widget on the watch go that by swiping left. There should be 4 circles, tap the one that says More. You see a little Settings Gear on the bottom, tap that and scroll down to All Workouts, there will be a toggle to turn audio guide on/off for all workouts.

No idea why it's not available in the app settings.

My watch has told me 3 or 4 times already I have met my goal for the 1st time of 10,000 steps and got some badge I think it also said. But I've done over 10,000 steps so many times. I had changed mine to 12,000 at one point I thought but it's on 10,000 now. I can see maybe the 1st time I hit my goal with this watch maybe. But I have my Samsung Health on my phone set up to show all steps phone and watch. So I don't know. Phone stays in my pocket all day at work.

only thing I don't like about Samsung health vs GFIT is the odd workout library. it has individual moves as workouts but then is missing other common workouts.

Not sure..I know it tells you every day that you have met your steps goal. As far as badge, it updates your badge if you set a "new record" for the day. You can check, on phone open samsung health, click on My Page at bottom, click on most steps and it will show current record and when you broke it.
