I decided to visit ATT's Infuse page to see if anything changed. It didn't look like it, but upon closer inspection something didn't look quite right.
Sometime in the last 5 days there was a change.
This:
Samsung Infuse 4G – Android 2.2 Smartphone – Wireless from AT&T
changed to this:
Samsung Infuse 4G – Android 2.2 Smartphone – Wireless from AT&T

Pertinent info that changed:
FULL HD VIDEO: 8 MP camera with 1080p video camera and HDMI playback
became:
FULL HD VIDEO: 8 MP camera with 720p video camera and HDMI playback

Looks like in the edit they forgot to remove the word 'Full' though, maybe they'll fix that before release.

While 720 should be more then enough for a phone camcorder I hope this is a result more of hardware restrictions than AT&T. I read that even the SGS2 had some stuttering with 1080p. Hopefully it is that and not just that ATT doesn't want to choke their hspa+ network with large uploads. If that was the case though I would prefer only being able to upload via wifi, and maybe they do / will already do that anyway. If not though they might not want people comparing the upload times between Verizon's 4G network and ATT's 4G* network, and not allowing a 1080p upload would make it not quite as painful, but I would think 720 could still be bad. I've seen Verizon's upload on a Thunderbolt and while it is bound to get slower as more people come online it is rediculously fast now, I saw my colleague get 27mbps up.

I wonder how much more will change before release.

Specs haven't changed anymore and the previous cached version showing 1080p dropped off, but there has been another minor change on the page within the last few days.
The graphic for the phone has changed from the bubble wallpaper to the wallpaper found on the Samsung Infuse Media Hub page. With all of these little tweaks, it must be getting close.
