Samsung Internet Browser for Verizon

Another question... The Samsung Internet is extremely fast, but.... It always seems to stay "on". Close it, force close it and it always comes back running. Any ideas why it needs to run in the background all of the time?

i did the VZW update today, then searched the Play store and do not see the browser

You don't search for it through the play store. Ironically use the phone Chrome browser to search for "Samsung Internet for Android Playstore" or try this link.

One thing i found out too. After installing it, it now comes up as an application when viewing the GEAR VR.

Ok, I'm at a loss for how some people are claiming to actually be able to load the browser off the Play Store on their VERIZON S7/S7 Edge devices. The option on the Play Store, through the web, only lets me put it on my S6. The Verizon S7 Edge is greyed out as non-compatible. So, are all you magic installers using Verizon devices? Are you loading it by choosing your device from the Play Store listing? Are you sideloading it from some mystery source?

EDIT: So, I switched browsers and logged in with a different account that is on that phone and now I can load it on the S7. Good grief. Magic indeed.

I can find it by searching google but it is not compatible with my Verizon S7 edge.
Anyone that has it on a Verizon S7 more then likely got it by installing the APK which I'll pass on.

Holy Lord, I just tried this and it worked perfectly. That sure makes no sense at all. Thanks for the tip!

The account stuff my make sense. Perhaps the google store is still linking your account to an older device it deems is not compatible hence trying different accounts work.

Nothing fishy at all. I got the same not compatible screen until the other night. Googled it again, followed the link to the playstore and it was downloadable.

I didn't look before. I just used the play store link posted a few hours ago here.
