Samsung Internet Closed Captioning

For some reason almost every video I watch using the default Samsung browser automatically has CC turned on. It's easy to click the CC button on the video to turn it off, but I can't seem to find a setting to turn it off by default. I see how to change the size and color of captions in the browser settings, but no way to turn it off. Am I just stupid, or maybe I've turned it on accidentally? Anybody else having this issue?

I'll check, but it's only in the Samsung browser that it happens. Doesn't happen in YouTube or for inline videos in apps.

I checked the settings you mentioned and nothing is on there. I feel dumb because I'm sure it's something stupid I've done somewhere.

Just tried a YouTube video in the default browser and CC was on. Doesn't do that when I use the YouTube app.

Can confirm.

CC is on by default in the Samsung browser. You have to tap the CC icon to turn it off.

So far, I can't find a way to disable it. CC options are off in Accessibility settings too.
