Samsung J7 star keeps restarting settings

I am on my phone when I go to bed everything is fine. When i get on my phone in the morning i have ads on my phone things are popping up I have to redo all my settings for apps,permissions,clock,ect. and I got a letter from Google saying your new phone j7 samsung neo 2 and my phone is a j7 star it's like it keeps acting like I first got the phone why is this happening
