Samsung Launch Event London

Yesterday I received an email from Samsung advertising a launch event in London for their new devices. Admission is by invitation only and there were only 300 places available. To be in with a chance of winning a slot all you had to do was reply to the email with a few basic details. I just now been informed that I’ve been successful in getting an invitation for this weekend and I was curious to know if anyone had been to similar events previously.

Apart from getting hands on with the devices do they give any freebies away? Only reason I’m asking is that it’s a good 4 hour drive to London which is a long way to go just to play with a new Note 9!

I got that email but when trying to reply I got a mail delivery error, I did wonder if it was a genuine thing or not because of the email reply address

I did wonder whether it was a spam/scam email but seeing as it only wanted really basic details and nothing more personal I gave it a go. But I really can’t see the point in going all the way to London to play with a few devices that will be in store soon anyway. Now if they were giving away decent gifts now that would be worth the effort! If I remember correctly didn’t Samsung give away brand new note8’s to passengers on a flight back last year when they released the N8??

I got that email too, got a place and time for Sunday. I'm only about 30 mins away and it could be interesting. I'm hoping they have the new tab S4 or the new watch, those are what I'm really interested in. Didn't think about freebies but that would be nice.

I went, I was hoping for a small thank you for travelling here on a Sunday but nothing not even a pen. But it was good seeing the new watch and phone before I ordered. I showed the guys some of the photos my note 8 has taken and they were impressed and asked me to tag samsunguk in them.
The new tab s 4"was very impressive wished I didn't get my new laptop a week before as they with teh keyboard would of done me fine......
