Samsung lies bc galaxy s7 batterys are faulty

I have a defective Galaxy s7 the battery is swelled out so bad the back of my phone is coming off the glue tht holds the phone together it's separating severely I first noticed a day ago when my s7 battery would not charge it would say it was 40% charged a min later while still in the charger it would say 5% charged thn 26% thn 10 the battery would not read correctly i know Samsung has been having issues with thn phones batterys lately starting with the note 7 thn the note 5 thn s7 edge and j7 and nw the s7 I took off my case and noticed the back cover of my s7 was coming apart bad separating from the phones from I knew from the phone not charging correctly it was the battery and I always baby my smartphones and smart gadgets I have not ever even dropped my phone not once or ever exposed my s7 to water I have only has my s7 since June 30th this one any way I'm highly upset bout this and I'm not happy with how Samsung handles things like this I called thm to see what thy had to say and I hung up with thm even more mad and upset I have pics also to prove what I'm saying and I want every one to know bout this bc Samsung lies their galaxy s7 battery is just as faulty as the note 7

Batteries sometimes go bad but yours should still be warrantied if you bought the device new. I believe that Samsung warranties its batteries for one year. Whether damage to the phone caused by a swollen battery would also be covered I don't know. Did the people you spoke to say anything about that?

I agree that your battery issue is frustrating, but there is currently no evidence that this is a widespread problem with the S7. There will always be a certain small percentage of batteries that are defective -- we see reports here of swollen batteries from all kinds of phones. But we haven't seen a whole string of complaints about the S7's battery specifically. My guess is that you were unlucky with this unit. Hopefully, Samsung will honor the warranty -- they might not, since you opened the phone yourself. Good luck!

Agree,my s7 edge battery would last about two days.And fast charging mode,my phone would not overheat.I'm loving my very much.

Batteries can fail... no sugar coating it. Every phone out there with a LiPo battery has units that failed. Either they fail catastrophically (i.e. catch fire), they suffer some sort of fault and start to outgas and swell, or they just up and plain stop being able to hold a charge. The tech is very delicate...

We are hearing about battery failures more now, not because phones are now more susceptible to failing, but because battery failures are now high-visibility stories and even a single failure makes headlines. If the S7 or S7 Edge had some sort of systemic defect that affected the battery, like the Note 7, we would have heard of wide spread issues a LOOOOOONG time ago.

I believe that the increasing capacity and density of batteries in itself increases the risk of fire/explosion.
