Samsung Mac Compatibility

I'm trying to move photos from my new Samsung Galaxy S onto my Macbook. I've found some posts that suggest it will work by clicking USB Debugging on the phone, but that doesn't work: the Mac still doesn't recognize the phone as an external device. Can anyone help? Thanks.

You need to mount the phone. After you plug it into your computer, pull down the notification bar and there should be an option to copy files to/from your computer. Tap that option and you're all set.
