Samsung Messages to drop RCS support on this major US carrier next year
Samsung Messages may lose RCS support for Verizon users in 2025. Learn more about this change and what it means for you.

When I was with Verizon I used their Messages+ app. It was the closest thing to RCS at the time but the limitations were tremendous in that it required both users to be on Verizon and using their messaging app.I've been using Google Messages for almost three years already and never used any carrier messaging apps.
I preferred/prefer the Samsung layout and ability to set up categories. However, since they're walking away from their own offering, I will too.....been on Google for months and months. don't like it, but it is what it is.When I was with Verizon I used their Messages+ app. It was the closest thing to RCS at the time but the limitations were tremendous in that it required both users to be on Verizon and using their messaging app.
Otherwise, never was a fan of Samsung Messages app layout. The only thing I wish Google would do is make the text entry box just grow with the message, so that I can see the entire message without scrolling before I send
Same here.As long as I can I will continue to use Samsung Messages which I prefer.
