Samsung Messages & RCS

I just started using Samsung Messages on my Galaxy S10+. I don't see the chat option under settings. Does anyone have RCS working with Samsung Messages yet? Thanks for any help.

yes mine works. bought directly from Samsung, tmobile version, unlocked through tmobile.

I have unlocked mine doesn't work I use Google Messages and only have one friend that it works with but at least I got to try it the other day. I wish it worked with Samsung. I have unlocked maybe that's why and my carrier is Verizon.

Locked to Verizon. They claim RCS only works (for Verizon) on the S9 & 9+. It also says as much in their website. That's for Samsung Messages not Google Messages which now works on any platform.

T-Mobile is definitely a leader in getting out in front with RCS. I'm with Verizon and they claim it only works for the S9 & 9+.

I tried Google Messages and the RCS worked fine but I couldn't get any text alerts on my Samsung Fit 2 watch. A deal breaker unfortunately.

yes. annoying you have to use samsung messages to get the alerts on our watch. blah.

I have an Active 2 and google messages is greyed out for me to turn on or off under notifications even thought the slider is set to on. I just starting using Google for texting and realized I'm not getting notifications on my watch neither. I just sent myself a test message to try guess I'm going back to Samsung or Textra.

Edit: Actually I just went back to the Samsung one and it's turned on and I didn't get a notification that's weird I used too. Wonder if it has something to do with me sending myself test messages.

Mines all working now I uninstalled and reinstalled and reset my watch. So far I am getting google messages on watch so that's good. I like using it cause I also use it on my Chromebook and PC.

I'm with Rogers and I do have RCS messaging with a few contacts.
