Samsung Messages crashing on latest version.

Is anyone else having their Samsung messages app crashing after the latest update? Mine starts to lag then just crashes. Then I get the app keeps closing message pop up. I have had to stop using it and revert to Google messages. I have cleared the cache and data, wiped cache partition. And it works for about 5 minutes then crashes again. The latest version on Apkmirror is lower than mine which is 11.1.70.27 so I can't install it and I can't downgrade the install.

I just wondered if it is me. I recently factory reset my phone and it happened after this.

Just waiting for another update to the app.

I haven't had any updates and stock messenger has been acting up it delays or sends 20 of the same txt.

I'm using the stock Samsung Messages app, but it's currently at version 11.1.65.17, which is even lower. No issues like your description, although it's slow when using MMS for group texting.

Where the heck is this Samsung Messages app? I can't find it under the Google Play store nor the Samsung Galaxy store. It's definitely the stock Messages app I'm using, as I see it under the Settings Apps with no option to Disable or Uninstall.

Yes you can..
Mine has Disable and Force Stop ..
But I leave it on and use
Verizon message.
Works fine borh if i choose to switch..

Why can't I find this stock Messages app in the Galaxy Store or Google Play store? I was looking to update it. Looks like the only way to update is go to the app's About, which says it has latest version.
