Samsung moving away from Android to their own OS called Tizen (VIDEO/PICS)

Samsing is trying to move away from Android and have their own OS, in which they have better control of updates, etc.

Samsung GT-I8800 is the first Official phone to run Tizen...the U.S. version of Tizen is also almost ready for public release

My Opinion: Looks too basic! I'm not liking it so far

Lols at that. It looks like a fork of miui with some samsung specific apps and a few ui changes. In all seriousness Google did most of the work already for these other open source os's. All someone has to do is come along, fork it, make some changes and build it. It really looks like samsung did very little to differentiate it from android but it will sell simply because it is coming from Samsung, the second greatest company at brainwashing right behind apple.

Isn't one of the reasons for Samsung's success the fluidity of Android? Will Samsung going down different, untried path open the market for Google and its new Motorola X line to be made in new USA Texas plant?
