Samsung not alone... iTrouble brewing...

One important difference I see is that Apple seems to be ignoring the problem, pretending it does not exist, while Samsung acknowledged it and took action.

Wow. This is quite alarming. And, allegedly, they might have "known about the issue but did not do anything about it"...

It just proves that Samsung really knows that they're doing here. Their customer service skills are top notch. Apple could learn a thing or two from Samsung, IMO.

Im not so sure on the CS skills. I am still waiting for 2 note 7 replacements...or at least some sort of confirmation after 3 weeks of waiting and 1 phone call to confirm ship address and another week of nothing...no email...no shipping notice...nada...pretty much cow pie in my eye...:)

I feel like all the phone manufacturers have, had, or will have some notable issue. Tech isn't gonna be perfect...forever, if ever, when it comes to phones. With the way the mobile market is there's a lot of pressure to release that yearly upgrade to outdo the competition. Compromises and mistakes will be made. Hopefully, not life-threatening.

I have a lot of faith in all the major players still. Unless one consistently makes doozie-type mistakes I'd not swear them off. I love tech too much.

Your response is well written and I agree. One blunder is not enough to write off an entire manufacturing line. Every tech giant out there will make a few mistakes. It's life, and it happens - especially when, as you've said, corporations are forced to release awesome products super quickly to try and outdo the competition

I remember when I had my note 3 with a screen problem. Some of them were cracking without dropping it and Samsung was always saying that was the customer's fault.
So saying Samsung is better that is pure bull.....
