Samsung Note 2 died after system update, any solution?

[AC Question]

Yesterday I updated my Samsung Note 2 with the latest software version and my phone died. I removed the battery, installed it again, tried to start it in safe mode then do a factory reset, but nothing worked.

My Note 2 was a factory unlocked phone that I bought on EBay when it was released (and it cost me about $700) and now it is completely unusable.

Can anyone recommend me any solution for my problem?

Welcome to AC.

Is there any response from the phone at all or does the battery seem to have failed completely? It may be worth trying a new one.

There is no response from the phone. The battery is half charged and works fine in my friend's Note 2.
