its the oem charging cable from samsung on 1st gen galaxy note 3 devices, it will miss up ur phone and devices, samsung is admiting to it if u call in, if we stand together we can get a recall made on the phone, but if not then just call in and say the charging cable has missed up the charging on your phone, and that your phone battery and charging cable have to get replaced or else if they just replace the phone theyll have to keep on replacing it every few months.

My Samsung Note 3 won't charge anymore. It just happened a couple of hours ago and I so can't be without my phone. I just got it back in January. I plugged in all my chargers I have here and none of them even work. Not even my car charger. I plugged my other phone I have in the chargers I have here and it works. Whats wrong with my Galaxy Note 3?

All you have to do is clean the charging port with an air sprayer. Or even a toothbrush. Same thing happened to me and I thought I was gonna have to replace my phone. I'd plug it in and it wouldn't charge. It would show charging but wasn't charging. You can buy those air spray cans at walmart. Or try using a dry soft tootbbrush. Totally works. Charging port gets dirty and refuses charge. Hope I can help someone else cuz I was scared to death when this happened to me. It works.

I have also problems with my galaxy note 3. Since several days after some operating time, the mobilphone is blocking all interactions. i have to replace the accu then it works again for some time.

I had same problem few months ago where it would charge only sometimes. Called samsung they told me its the 3.0 usb cable sent me another cable and haven't had a problem since.

I found that in a youtube video and it's actually working. was about to post it, but i notcied it's already been done several times so i'll just 2nd your post. it works folks. my phone wouldnt charge past 2% if it didnt just outright die on me. i used a toothbrush and a dab of hydrogen peroxide and brushed the usb port and the charger connect. took out the battery and the sd card for a few minutes just for safe measure. plugged it back in and its going well. oddly, my charge went from 2% to 42% in less than 5 minutes but, whatever. at least it's charging. we'll see how long it lasts. for now, im satisfied.

I had same problem few months ago where it would charge only sometimes. Called samsung they told me its the 3.0 usb cable sent me another cable and haven't had a problem since.

I'm gonna Go Out And Get a "Good" CABLE! The Samsung Cables are Crap! I've cleaned the Ports→ NO LUCK • The Battery Indicates charging But it isn't • I Get Notification Messages That Toggle Back N forth Between High Powered USB Connected and USB Disconnected When I wiggle the Connection. if I Attempt TO charge while the phone is Turned OFF. I get that every 2 second Vibration thing On A Black Screen and it Actually discharges the Battery. Something is up with the Connectionthing is up with the Connection alignment. My wife has Same phone and her cable works Fine with her phone but not on mine. I'LL Try Cleaning again . I've been Taking my battery out and putting it in her phone to charge it. think Maybe a Spare Battery and changing Unit is In Order • These phone Manufactures did NOT Put enough thought in A Very Critical Part of the Phones operation . the Port should Lock in A Cable Securley Or be designed More like a Pc USB Port More Heavy duty . That Port is weak and designed TO Fail.

Nothing wrong with your cable. Just need to bend the metal part opposite of the pins inward a little. And I have tried both usb 3.0 and micro usb. Micro charge at a slower rate, 450mah to be exact while usb 3.0 is charging at 1200mah which is faster. Also you need the plug to say 1800mah or better cause its the plug that controls how strong the charge is and note3 battery is 1800mah so it needs a strong plug. I was using a plug that was 750mah and thought some was wrong with my phone till I figured out the mah thing needs to be as close to what battery says it is. All my charging problems gone. Ha

One think you can do is to take off the back cover.
Now you'll see 2 screws to the left and right of the charging socket
All you really to do is tighten those screw up. What it does is that is will decrease the space of the socket.

its crap galaxy note 3,in future I will never buy for me as well as try to convince my friend and relatives to not buy Samsung brand..................such expensive mobile that you can not use a one month and having problem ..............hanging................not charging.................off and I sent to sevice center still m waiting 10 days passed but mobile still not returned.......................bloddy cunning Samsung

I bought my Note 3 last March (3/13/14)--so I am almost at my warranty limit. 6 months after getting the phone and charging it, I would get an error on the phone that said something to the effect of--phone doesn't recognize this type of charger, please use Samsung Galaxy charger. Well, I WAS using the charger that come with the phone!!!! SO I went to Best Buy and they said my charger was dead, where I purchased the phone and they were out of Samsung chargers so they sold me one that he said would work fine...for about 3 months and now it is dead...so on to my 3rd charger! So it seems that the phone is killing the chargers. I think this is a problem with the accessory KILLING CHIP that Samsung began putting in the Galaxy Note 3, because even though it originally had a Samsung charger, it wouldn't recognize it as such. This phone will go back to Samsung!
