samsung note 3 photos

I lost almost all my photos out of the clear blue have some of the downloaded and message one but my camera went from 300 some to 25 where the hell did they go how do I get them back?

Welcome to Android Central! Do you remember if those photos were saved to Internal Storage or the external microSD card? If the latter, try unmounting the card (in Settings>Storage), removing it, then inserting it into your computer, and see if you can find the photos using the computer's file browser. The microSD card might have gotten corrupted somehow (which is unfortunately a relatively common complaint when it comes to Samsung devices).
