Samsung note 3 SM- N900 was stolen

My phone was stolen and I have been tracking it using Google locator timeline. It shows my phone is still active and the police doesn't seem to believe in Google timeline. How can I get a locator using IME number. I am in southafrica and that seems like a problem. I wasnt given a straight answer from samsung. I do not understand. Can I locate it using my IME. Can Samsung help me.

Use the "Find My Phone"
Find a Samsung Note 3 Manual in case that you don't know how to use that service, the content regarding "Find My Phone" should be on page 13 and 14.
