Samsung Note 4 keeps saying do not turn off target.

Hi,

My Samsung Note 4 keeps going on/off and sometimes says Do not turn off target. Ever since this has been going on, my phone also lags (keeps freezing on certain things, when i open a app or the internet browser etc.).

Please help.

Welcome to Android Central! That's the Download Mode (aka Odin Mode) screen. It comes up if you power on by pressing Power and Vol Down at the same time. If the Vol Down button is having problems, you may notice that the phone boots up into Download Mode, even if you only pressed Power, since the phone also thinks the Vol Down button has been pressed as well.

Regarding the general performance issues, see if wiping the cache partition does anything: https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-14686
