samsung note 5 unresponsive

[Android Central Question]

it will charge, when it dies the screen will turn on and it will charge, if i try to power it on it becomes unresponsive. ive tried the forced restart by pressing the power volume down and the home button i even tried with the volume up button.

Welcome to Android Central! Are you saying that when you try to boot into Recovery, it doesn't give you any menu? If you can get into Recovery, try wiping the cache partition. If that doesn't work, then try the factory reset option. https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-27659

If recovery is bad, you can't go any further. The bootloader loads, that loads recovery, that loads Android. If recovery is bad, even if Android is good, you can't get to it.

You could try to flash https://forum.xda-developers.com/note5/orig-development/twrp-2-8-7-0-official-t3195262 in Odin. (Go to https://twrp.me/samsung/samsunggalaxynote5.html and scroll down for your particular model [none for AT&T or Verizon].)
