They should bring the iconic Name back

I hope they do bring it back, I miss saying I have the galaxy note whatever now![]()
Agree with both of youI like the idea of bringing the Note back. I think it's A great thing. But what I didn't like was this: around when they retired the Note there got to be a point where there was no distinction between the Note and the Galaxy S series. I think the S series and the Note should have different features that separate the other. From what I recall, it got to the point where the only distinction was the SPen.
If I could call the shots (and I'm sure I will irritate some people with this take): The S would be at the biggest 5" in screen size, and the Note starts at 5.75". The Note gets the pen, and maybe some software differences, like a multi-screen. Another idea is the Fold should have been a Note relaunch.

Hahaha same hereI've never stopped calling it a Note.
After seeing me jot down a quick note, a colleague asked was it "the new Motorola with a pen." Of course I said Motorola could never, and I showed some of the BT capabilities and how I use the pen in every day life. He said he is gonna take a look the Note, and I said it's S Ultra now. Next week, I'll have to spread this rumor and explain so he isn't completely confused!!
Interesting. Samsung keeps us guessing.
The Note 20 Ultra was my first Note & I just had to keep it. It received the August 2024 security patch earlier in the week.
I never understood the reasoning for changing the name. (It's like renaming the Big Mac to Double Cheeseburger Extra.)
Don't mess with successful branding. Bring it back!

Been Note user since Note 2 we are attached to itSeems most of you are attached to the Note name. I entered the Samsung party late. I came from HTC, which by the way I've heard may be making a comeback, but my first Sammy was the S10 and has been the S series ever since. I'm only here now because it's an S series otherwise I wouldn't have an S-Pen or squared corners and would still be living the S life.
It's funny how things go. I never saw the point of the S-Pen and couldn't imagine ever owning one. Now I've had 3 and can't imagine ever having a folding device. Maybe in a few years they'll combine something else and push me into one of those next.
Golfdriver mentioned it best use to be difference between S line and Note line, I want that back
HTC is coming back but it won't be like how the M8 wasSeems most of you are attached to the Note name. I entered the Samsung party late. I missed the M8. I got into smartphones with the Incredible, phone of the year 2011 by the way, and was doing Verizon's new every 2 so when the M8 released it was an odd year for me. I had the Rezound that year but I remember the hype of the M8. First phone I can remember with dual cameras on the back. It was the bulk of talk in every review.HTC is coming back but it won't be like how the M8 was![]()
I still have my M8 Att model converted it to the Google Play edition, Needs a battery that device was ahead of its time .I missed the M8. But look at me now ma' 5 sensors on the back. Hahaha.
You sound like me in terms of starting with the S10, not thinking I'd ever use the S Pen, then getting the S22 Ultra and now the S24 Ultra. Now I can't see being without the S Pen. I don't care what they call the phone as long as it has an S Pen with a slot to hold it.Seems most of you are attached to the Note name. I entered the Samsung party late. Was it the Nexus with the track ball? Knowing I was losing my physical keyboard on my feature phone I remember really wanting the Nexus One with that track ball. I was mad that I couldn't go to a phone store and see one. I remember stopping in just to see the Razr and the LG Chocolate. I want to say that I went in to see the Incredible but I'm also sure that I preordered that.I never had HTC, though. My previous devices were Moto, Nexus and LG.
No, I only had a trackball on an old Blackberry 9000.Was it the Nexus with the track ball? For me it's the branding, the imagery.Seems most of you are attached to the Note name. I entered the Samsung party late. I know, silly. But, it's just how I feel.
