Samsung now giving $100.00 when you return your Note 7 and.......

I think its more of a bill credit than actually giving you a $100. A $100 off any Samsung phone would be better than a bill credit.

I accept it graciously. However offered. But you need to get another Samsung device.

Don't forget the $25 credit they promised the first time. So that's $125 for being loyal to them.

The exact wording is "Customers who permanently upgrade to a Samsung device will receive an extra one-time $75 bill credit within two to three bill cycles"

What is permanently upgrade? I'm not really feeling like upgrading to anything right now since the V20 comes out in a week or two. If I switch over to something cheap like.... a Samsung Core for like $5 per month, and jump to a V20 when it comes out, do you think they'll still give me the credit?

So I wonder how those of us who already did our exchange to another Sammy device can get in on this. I got my S7E on 10/11/16 after turning in my N7 then.

Call your carrier and ask if they participate. I know tmobile does. Its in the samsung recall website.

Nope. Traded in for S7e today and was told it would be $100 total. If you got $25 for initial recall like I did, you'll now get $75 for $100 total. Rep said he was reading direct from the incentive language on his system.

Thanks: I just happened to catch the recall site in my research and saw this: "If you already exchanged your Galaxy Note7 device for another Samsung smartphone, you will receive up to a $75 bill credit from select carrier or retail outlets in addition to the $25 you previously received."
I have AT&T. So I would assume this will apply to me and in the next billing cycle or so on my wireless bill I'll see this. Now-they really shouldn't be cloaking this as $100. We already have the $25 from before so this is really a $75 credit we're getting. Be that as it may-I'll gladly take the $75 credit to my phone bill!

I assume that this doesn't apply to those of us that just went back to their previous phone. In my case a note 5?

Same question I have.. what if you going back to an older Samsung device you still had.. s7, s6, note 5..or if you bought one outright via ebay or amazon.. Do you stlll get the credit?

Its ridiculous to go back to an older galaxy s7 or s7 edge with an older touchwiz interface. Now why would I go for an older phone thats been out for 6 months. That makes no sense. Samsung has screwed me with being able to upgrade notes every year. Now I won't lock myself into an edge 7 for 2 years while I watch the Note 8 and possibly edge8 be as great as the note 7 I'm currently using. Samsung $100.00 dollars isn't enough. Just this weekend at New York Comic Cin my best friend who has a s7 edge said the note 7 is so much better after he held the note 7 and got to use the interface. I would even entertain getting an Iphone 7plus. The Pixel XL also looks great. But the V20 mifht just be it.

I just jumped ship. So I didn't lose and upgrade I went with the iPhone 7 128 gb. That I can give to my wife, when/ if Samsung gets their **** together. IPhone 128 was cheaper than my note 7 and cheaper than a almost 2 year old note 5. Sorry S pen you will be missed.

My guess is probably not (I think something about credit might be noted by the vendor at the time of exchange/refund, but this is just conjecture on my part and could be wrong). I'm going back to a Note 4, myself.

Is this credit instant? I just got told it would be 2 months before I see it. Bs

For most carriers they credit it by bill cycle. For AT&T, I spoke with them today this morning and they said they will credit me $100 in 1 or 2 bill cycle.
