Samsung partnering with uBreakiFix for same-day Galaxy S9 repairs across the U.S.

Re: Samsung is making it easier to get official same-day repairs for its phones.

If only they'd make it easier to sign up for samsung premium care.

That's nice. At this point if my screen broke on my Note 8 I'd probably bite the bullet and get the s9 Plus. Although then I'd be upset when the Note 9 comes out.

Well that is great news! There is a uBreakiFix in the city in which I live.

I really worry about repairs & having to send my phone away to be fixed.

Agreed! What I just found out today is that Samsung will NOT let you purchase Premium Care for your S9 if you did not purchase it at check-out when pre-ordering or ordering the phone, and if it's not from Samsung.com directly. At least that's what the rep just told me on the phone. So basically I cannot get Premium Care from them at all because I didn't check that option at check-out when I bought the phone. That was definitely not clear to me when I ordered it. I then asked about their uBreakiFix partnership and if I could go have it inspected at a local store to be eligible for the coverage and she said no. So then I went to T-Mobile to try to get coverage from them and they want $15/month with a $175 deductible because I didn't buy the phone directly from them. So screw them too. I'm debating Square Trade which is cheaper, but I don't have any experience with them so plan to do research before buying from them.

I just don't trust ANYBODY with the stuff on my phone so I have to do a system reset before any repair. I wish they would do it right in front of me. I hate setting up phones.

I hear you, I would wipe my phone also! As the saying goes, "Better Safe Than Sorry!"

Samsung gives you the first month free. One would think that the reason they give you that is so you have 30 days to sign up. I checked the box against my better judgment, the feed back about actually getting a phone replaced is poor. They do offer one hour a month one to one come to your home, business, coffee shop tech support through a company called Hello Tech. I am going to get my money out of that service if all we do is talk about the weather. It also appears that their deductible is less for this expensive a phone. i would try again and tell them the sales agent lead you to believe you had a month
