Samsung Pay app update

So, when I open Samsung Pay it gives me a statement about needing a system update even though the phone is fully up to date.
 
There should be a prompt that allows you to update Samsung Pay from within the app. It did the same for me when I first used it.

This is what I get. Click OK and it takes me to AT&T software update and there is no update. I'm on 5.1.1.

Mine works on att. However I had the same issue. Unfortunately I was doing my phone setup very quickly. I believe what finally worked was an update to Pay from the play store. Sorry I don't recall for sure.

Same results after Factory Reset. I've tried uninstalling the Samsung Pay updates and reinstalled and same result. I might have to return the phone for another.

Yes. I think it's an AT&T issue with the IMEI. We upgraded a different line and it seems something went screwy.

Could be a Samsung Pay issue with the Imei since the Imei us tied in with the security. You can call Samsung and talk to the Pay division who will help with that. Happened to me when I switched out phones because of a replacement. Samsung took the new Imei and other info and Pay was working again.
 
AT&T has an issue on their end. One of their system tools has the correct IMEI. Another tool has my old Nexus 6.
