Samsung Pay - battery impact

Just started using today, did my first transaction with the clerk insisting it wouldn't work and exclaiming after a few seconds...."wow...it went through". So far so good except.....my battery has drained faster today then in recent memory. Anyone else experiencing this?

I do not notice any battery draining with samsung pay. It is always running in the background. maybe give it a few days to see if it continues to drain since today is your first day using it.

No negative impact on my battery life at all. Been using the app since Saturday.

I noticed yesterday that my battery was pretty low before leaving work yes. I did a reboot this morning and things seem better.

I've been leaving NFC and Simple Pay turned on, using Spay at least 6 times a day, and haven't noticed any battery life differences.

Yes, this is with Verizon. I noticed a significant battery drain since the Vz update + S Pay a couple of days ago. I turned off "Simple Pay" option which lets you swipe upward from any screen to see if it makes any difference....

I normally leave NFL turned off on my S6, and Samsung Pay automatically turns NFL on when I activate and use it, then turns it off.

My cm security app does not recognize sp app as battery drainer.
