Yesterday, I started to use Samsung Pay Beta on my Gear S2, but when I held the back button on my watch, the watch vibrated, but the screen stayed on my watch face. I have restarted the watch several times. I also went in to the Gear app on my Note 5 and reset Samsung Pay Beta on my watch, and now when I go in to the app on my phone to set up my cards, it tells me that it is unable to connect to my watch. I am received all other notifications on my S2, so I know the watch is connected to my phone.

Before I reset my watch and start from scratch, I just wanted to know if anyone else was having this issue. Thanks!

PS - My watch is on version R732XXU2CPC5, and the Samsung Pay app on my phone is version 2.2.01.

My watch did the same thing after the value pack upgrade I got yesterday. I found that once the watch vibrated and went back to the watch face, I had to turn the ring CCW and that activated Pay normally. Go figure, what a beta is all about I guess.

Personally, I wouldn't reset anything at this point. Is using Pay on the watch really that important? And like I said, Pay is in beta, you have to expect things to happen. What I find strange for a beta is no immediate feedback channel to Samsung to report problems.

Even going in to the app itself on my watch won't work. When I touch the app from the list on my watch, it just tells me "Long press the Back key on your Gear to open Samsung Pay," which doesn't work, even from within the app.

I agree. It's a beta, so problems will occur. But Samsung's support system is like something out of Kafka.
