Neither my Capitol One credit card or my bank's debit card work with SP. I asked a manager at my local Walmart if SP works in their store. She'd never heard of it but was sure it didn't <lol>

My PNC card works, but Discover isn't onboard yet. As for Walmart, it does work, but debit needs to run as credit and only on self check registers can you specify this. So currently I can use SP at those registers only as my card is a debit card. Truthfully, SP is the best current mobile payment system because it only requires a magnetic card reader. Just more banks and cards need to be brought into the fold.

I have a Capital One card as well; Capital One isn't on board with Samsung Pay. I read a comment recently that it was probably because Capital One has their own electronic wallet system with their app.

Fortunately I also have a Chase and Citibank card. I just found out recently that Citibank has a 2% cash back card; that beats my old Capital One card that gave me 1.5%. So the Capital One has been retired to backup, and the Citibank card is now my primary.

You should live in the UK. This country lags behind in tech so much. I don't currently have a phone that has Samsung Pay, but neither that or Android Pay is available here yet, and to add to that, my bank has decided not to offer mobile payments, neither to Apple, and instead decided to roll out their own thing, which is only available if you have a credit card, and they have basically stuffed their debit card customers. I hate this country. I also wanted the Note 5 but we don't get it here, neither the silver S7 Edge. :(

I've used it at Wal-Mart several times as well as many other places that don't take Google Pay or Apple Pay (i.e. Chick-fil-A, CVS, ****'s Sporting Goods, etc). The important thing to remember is that just about any place that allows you to swipe your card will work with Samsung Pay. After unlocking Samsung Pay, just hold your phone near the magnetic swipe and it will work. Most retailers tell me that they don't take payments via phone and then are surprised when it works. It's actually kind of fun...

Yeah, I was excited to try it yesterday at WM...course I would have only been excited if it actually worked and I didn't hold up the line ;)
Maybe I'll contatct SP and see if they have any timeline on bringing Capitol One onboard.

Just got a Citi card. set it up with Samsung Pay, and the first time I used the card was with my S7, worked fine. Merchant had a newer terminal but the chip reader was not set up, so I tried Samsung Pay rather than swipe.
I am done
with Capital One,
'cause it won't play
with Samsung Pay.
Got a card from Citi
That's lookin' pretty,
Double Cash back
a chip - no hack.
A better return
on the money I burn.
33% above it
so Cap One, shove it....

Haha TWX42!
Capital One has been the only credit card reviews for 25 years. Pay balance in full at the end of the month. We took advantage of an 18-month no interest card from Citi double cash for a bathroom remodel. It will be paid for in 2 months, two months early. I think I'll start using Citi card when the remodel is paid. It's 2%cash back instead of one and a half percent.
