Samsung pay many declines recently

I have used Samsung Pay on my Gear S3 for many months. Recently some transactions are being declined at places where it used to work.

Any thoughts? Anyone else having the same probkem?

Did you try both debit and credit? Same thing happened to me, I just tried again and ran it as credit and it worked.
 
I will look at that next time. at Starbucks I don't see a place to set it. maybe the clerk has to do something.
 
Is it an actual decline or some kind of generic error? I get the errors quite frequently and occasional declines for no apparent reason. Sometimes it's on larger transaction amounts. Which I don't get as this should be a more secure method of payment. Perhaps it's a way for Samsung to keep the points down. :)
 
it is a decline for some let mismatch or such. has not happened the last few days. No issue on credit limit or such.

It doesn't matter the amount of money. Points are just based off of the amount of times used.
 
I just set mine up as credit card and it was declined twice. I then paid with the same credit card without problem. This is the s9. No problem with my old s7. Thoughts?
