Samsung Pay not available for my Note 7?

I see others that seem to indicate they are using it on the Note 7, but Every time I start up Samsung Pay it displays "Checking availability" then displays a long 'what samsung pay can do' features page and at the bottom just says 'You will receive a notification when Samsung Pay becomes available for your phone.'
I can't unistall Samsung Pay. I have forced stopped it, restarted phone, and the Software update page in settings says I have the most up to date software.

What am I missing?
Can anyone verify they have used Samsung pay on an ATT Note 7?

That's a really unusual thing I got mine yesterday and got it set up yesterday and used it even it's definitely compatible with the phone . It only works with some banks though but that shouldn't matter as far as setting it up on your phone I know it took awhile for mine to get set up

I think the same thing happened with the S7 earlier this year. Samsung Pay didn't work until the official launch day. Might be the same thing here.

Mine wasn't working last night but this morning it is. Last night I was ending up with this message but this morning it asked me to update the app and it's now working. Btw it would say checking availability first.

I contacted samsung and they told me it should work fine, to contact AT&T to see why the update is blocked. ATT says nothing is blocked (as all other data services and updates work) but they cant help with samsung pay, contact samsung. Round and round I went 5 times. Then gave up on Sunday, just no more energy to fight. Today at 10am I get an alert that its available.

Course then I install it set up my card and have tried it in 3 places so far. Has not worked anywhere yet. Sigh.
