Samsung pay on Note 9 duos question

Does Samsung pay work on the unlocked international Note 9 duos in can/us? I can't seem to get it to work. Just says it can't connect.

If it's not the US-unlocked version, it won't work with US/CAN Samsung Pay, unfortunately. Only in the region it was intended for sale (either Europe or LATAM).

Depending on the carrier, too, WiFi-Calling would not be available. That's the 'downfall' of unlocked models, but most of all, international ones.

Guess I had to make sacrifices to get dual sim. I just didn't know I was. Haha

Is there a way to change firmware to allow this functionality

Unfortunately you'd need root for that and Samsung Pay (as well as most other payment methods) automatically block functions if root is detected.
