A lot of gas pumps have tap and pay but the stations never have them active so buying gas for me is a bustI haven't figured out how to get Samsung pay to work with gas pumps or Sonic menu board readers.
Yeah, typically anything that you have to slide your card into won't work. That's why for gas stations I go inside and pay at the cashier. There's a trick you can do at the pump where you slide in your license or like a business card to start the reader but that trick doesn't work so well.I haven't figured out how to get Samsung pay to work with gas pumps or Sonic menu board readers.
I've been using it since May or June. It doesn't work for me at Home Depot or Lowes. The other day it seemed to work for a bit, I even got the notification in the app that it went through, but the register timed out trying to get final confirmation or something and the transaction was canceled. That was on the second attempt to get it to read, the first try it didn't even pick up the card. In my bank transaction log it shows as a payment, and a credit back to the account.Have you been using it long? Some places you need to run it either as Debit or as Credit. I have two gas stations it only works as Debit, whereas many places are either credit or do both. Nice getting cash back sometimes
MST can be used everywhere. NFC, not so much.
Samsung Pay is the clear winner, by far.
I always go inside to pay for gas so I can use the phone. I know it's less convenient but I still earn my rewards and I just enjoy it LOLA lot of gas pumps have tap and pay but the stations never have them active so buying gas for me is a bust
Do you have any credit cards that are supported? I know Capital One works I use that one quite often on thereI use a small local bank, not supported by Samsung pay
