Samsung Pay will it work

Like the title says , im very excited to exerience pure android and more of Google, but I love Samsung Pay will it work on this phone or will I need to give it up ?

You will need to give it up. Samsung Pay only works with Samsung phones. You should however be able to use your Gear S3 still to use Samsung Pay.

Ok its more important to be able to receive notifications on my S3 and I currently use SP on a none Samsung phone you just cant collect your rewards , but the use of a virtual bank card makes me fell more secure and also much more convenient

Yeah, if it weren't for the Gear S3, I probably would never seriously consider buying a phone that isn't Samsung. I use Samsung Pay a lot. Those extra rewards are nice. I actually use it mostly on my watch anyway because it's just more convenient.

I'm pretty sure that's incorrect. They added Samsung Pay rewards to the Gear app a while ago. See the Gear app below. It did use to be that way though. Think I even saw it in the change logs a few months ago.

Samsung Pay is Samsung. They aren't going to let others use it... So no it won't work.

There is mention of Samsung working with other manufacturers to allow SP. Dont you need the pay app on the phone to allow the gear 3 to work?

The watches Gear app on the phone has a limited verson of SP that allowes it to work ,but no redemption of gift cards without the actual app

Well, that sucks. Part of why I've loved Samsung Pay is the rewards. Was hoping to maybe switch over to a non-Samsung phone, and finally get the S3. I didn't realize I'd lose key functionality.

Yeal it does stink love my S3 fun versatile watch, plan on using Samsung pay without redeeming rewards, maybe next year I'll change who knows

Samsung pay once said they might license and allow other manufacturers to use if they install the chip and may look into special cases with the chip.

I keep my old inactive note 5 in my truck and grab it whenever I visit a place that i can us SP. I use it usually 2 or 3 times a day so I rack up points quickly.

Samsung pay is...as the name suggests, exclusive to Samsung. It actually requires proprietary hardware.

Credit bureau got hacked. Everybody's data out there. Security? A thing of the past

Does the Samsung watch get notifications from the Pixel phone?
