Samsung Pay wiping out cards

not fixed for me. just had to set up my cards again. I'm not going to set up my credit union cards this time, it requires two phone calls with tons of security questions and quizzes about transactions I've made and I don't feel like make these calls again and again until Samsung confirms this issue is fixed.

I have not experienced these issue, but I do have an S2 that I could try and replicate it... but I don't really want to set up my cards again. LOL

The S2 has been turned off since I got the S3, thinking about selling it.

Also are these the LTE watches or the Wifi/BT watches that are having issues?

Mine is LTE and each time it happened is when I opened the Samsung pay gear app from the gear manager app on the phone after a few days or weeks of no issues.

Had the watch since February (non lte). Has happened to me twice. Once in March and just last week.

Bluetooth only and happens when I switch between my S2 and S3 watch, every time.

[I have two gear S3 watches, I can pair both to my S8 plus. The problem is setting up Samsung pay to use and work with two different Gear watches on the same phone, and use the same debit card. 1) both watches are to use the same debit cards. 2) One watch ("A") is active and linked to the phone. 3) setup the debit card on the phone for watch "A" using Samsung pay--all is fine to this point. On the watch SP works fine.

Now the problem: Turn off watch "A" and turn on watch "B", link "B" to the phone, proceed to setup SP. The first thing that happens is the previous working debit card is deleted and I,m prompted to re-setup the same debit card that was deleted. Now it's working for phone"B" just fine. Samsung Pay (SP) no longer works on phone "A" and will need to be setup again. Samsung Pay can't work with two gear S3 watches on the same phone. SP can only have one setup per phone, and each time you turn on a 2nd gear S3 watch, the exsisting SP setup is deleted. Why would anyone have a 2nd Gear S3 watch which will not be able to function correctly.

How does one setup two Gear S3 watches to work with Samsung Pay on the same phone? This is a MAJOR PROBLEM and needs to be addressed. /S]

The only way I could get Samsung pay to work on two watches was to first link watch "A" to the phone. Setup Samsung Pay (SP) on watch "A", adding two debit cards. Then turn off "Bluetooth" on the watch, so the watch does not link with the phone anymore. You might ask why have the 2nd watch at all if it's not linked to the phone, and that is the 64 dollar question I keep asking myself.

Turn off watch "A". Turn on watch "B",proceed to setup SP in the normal way (at this point all the debit cards used for watch "A" will have be deleted). Re-install the debit cards again (this madness---nuts). Now Samsung pay will work on both watches, but one watch no longer links to the phone--no incoming calls, no text messages, no email, but you have SP working.

Samsung are you listening...... This needs to get corrected....

I have an S3 and S2, S3 has SP setup and S2 doesn't. It still wipes out S3 setup when switching to use S2 watch on weekends, put S3 back on Monday morning and have to setup SP again. So doesn't help just having SP on one watch and one phone, that second watch causes problems.

There was a SP update on phone/watch recently, like last week? Anyone want to see if this issue was fixed in that update? I can't till I get home and get access to my other watch. That will be a week.

An I thought I was ballin' just having one smart watch. I think the issue is security with pay technology. They don't want you to have active cards on two different watches at once. Maybe worry about someone cloning you watch or some strange hack. DId you guys contact Samsung about it? I am curious if they have an answer.

This has happened to me twice. seems very random and I only have the gear S3 Frontier. The watch is connected to a Moto phone.

I am almost certain the issue is being caused by the watch. no pattern that I can discern though. I will just activate Samsung pay on the watch and it says my Samsung account has been deleted and my cards removed from Samsung pay. when j check Samsung pay on my phone I have been logged out of my Samsung account.

Very very annoyed.

This has been happening to me every week or 2 for the past 2 months. I have just had to add my cards to the frontier for the 3rd time in 2 months.

This happens to me so often that I have given up on Samsung Pay. I only have one watch and every 2-3 weeks Samsung pay resets itself and I have to setup everything as if it were new. after the 4th time, I decided not to bother. I like the watch a lot, so much that I switched from Apple Watch and iphone to Samsung Watch and Android phone. but between the Samsung Pay resets and the horrid S-Voice function that only works occasionally and is slow when it does work, I'm wondering if I made a mistake?

I've had the watch about 6 months and this just happened to me tonight for the first time. I went to launch Samsung Pay on the watch and it said something to the effect of, "Samsung Pay is initializing on your phone. All your cards have been deleted." It's a little frustrating as my bank makes me call in for authorization to add the card so I will have to do that in the morning. Hopefully this doesn't become a trend.
