Thank you for starting this thread. I have been upset by many posts whose sole purpose seem to be to bash htc, especially the htc one and promote the S4.
The purpose of these forums should be to give each other support and help when needed. Both phones are excellent phones and have their relative strengths and weaknesses. Each person should be encouraged to learn about the different phones to determine which is best for them.
Bashing one company or phone goes against the purpose of these forums and certainly does not do any service to the person who is seeking help. On a personal level, such 'hating' only causes resentment to me against the company doing the hating.
I purchased the htc one without considering the s4 primarily because the specs met my needs and the $100 trade in offer by htc. If there had not been the trade in offer, I would have waited to compare the phones. Reading all of htc bashing along with the fact that Samsung apparently paid people spread the hate would have definitely pushed me towards htc. I have not been reading the s4 forums, and I would have the same aversion to htc if the same hate were being displayed there.
Please, let's use these forums to help each other as they were meant to.
