Android Central Question

I have a Samgsung galaxy Grand Prime. Unrooted no altercation ever been done to it. Recently i had a day where a few apps kept saying "has stopped working." Also kept turning itself off. Then i turned it back on and it got stuck in bootloop. Then that stopped and it wouldnt get out off recovery mode. Than after that....freakin nothing. Wont turn on. Wont enter recovery mode. Will not enter download mode. Heck when plugged into charge still no sign of life. The only sign i see of anything is when plugged into a PC, my pc chimes and in device manager it shows as a qualcomm device under ports. Any help would be appreciated. 🍺

From the sound of it the battery needs replacement , dont remember if its removable but I think your better off money spent something newer.

Welcome to Android Central! I'd also suspect a failing motherboard. Either way, mustang7757 is right -- I don't think it's worth taking to a repair shop, given how old it is.

you can try a factory reset and see what happens if you are able to get to settings. however it may be time to get a new phone. that phone has been out for around five years so any repair job will cost more than the phone is worth. are you able to use it when charging?
