I could care less for notches and punch holes so the selfie cam in the SPen needs to happen. I don't take many selfies, use facial or iris scan so this is a win for me.

What do you all think?

We know companies build prototype and tries out ideas which is why rumors exist of unannounced units that mag never see the light of day.

I can actually see a lot of use for something like this, especially for DIY'ers. I could use this to peek inside some of my HVAC ducts, or if I'm working on my car and drop a bolt in the engine bay and same directly see it. That is assuming it includes a live video feed to the phone.

Lol...like my flexible borescope I check for cylinder wear or valve with carbon on engines.


Especially direct injection engines that get carbon build up faster.

Wow. talk about putting words in someone's mouth. I don't take many selfies so I'd rather have them implement it in a way that would forego using a notch or punch hole. But OK if that's how your mind works.

There is no chance for placing a camera in s pen. we can't a take a live focus from that module and we can't get clear images.

Pretty much. If you can get a live image on your watch via BT from the phone's camera and this year's S-Pen has BT, sure, you can get that transmitted to the phone.

I think that's quite the conclusion to jump to. There's plenty of other, non-perverted, uses for a camera like that.

I'm not saying there isn't, but it just takes one for these things to be banned, just like what happened with the short-lived Google Glasses in plenty of public places. Plus until the latter clarification (that placing the camera in the pen would remove the need for the tear drop/punch hole) it just sounded like the OP was claiming not do selfies but excited about a selfie camera.
