Samsung Push Service

Guys anyone know if there is any harm in turning off Samsung Push Service? I read somewhere else that doing so was suggested to help with battery life and it's not a necessary app. Thanks for any help. Non rooted btw.

It just notifies you about app updates from Samsung. If you don't use any Samsung apps, you can disable it.
