Samsung puts a 4000 battery into s8 Active

I don't think I'm going to get a Note 8 because it's going to have a smaller battery than the S8+ with the same size screen. That's pretty much a deal-breaker.

We still don't know for sure about the battery size. With the new hawuii and iPhone coming out with amazing battery life I'm sure they will compete otherwise it will be bad....

Hawuii, Hawaii, Huawei, it is all the same to some people :D

I'm wondering why the SD capacity it set at 256gb? I haven't checked the specs of the 8 and 8+ but 256gb seems low. I understand that there are other devices in the 2 terabyte realm.

I actually like the idea of a rugged-ized 8 and would consider one over the other two 8 models.

Just checked, the S8 and S8+ are 256gb max.

With people still not trusting cloud storage and minimum on board storage, a higher card storage sounds like a good idea.

...and just why are you saying "We still don't know for sure about the battery size." when the published Samsung Technical Spec Sheet in Donm527's post says 4000mAh? That's not a rumor, that's from Samsung finally! And I posted a picture of the "About" page in "Settings" from an actual phone of a Beta Tester that also shows 4000mAh...

I STAND CORRECTED - I looked at the posts above magichowards' instead of reading the quote within his post - Sorry!!!

They weren't talking about the S8 active, they were quoting a comment about the Note 8 having a smaller battery than the S8+.

And where would you get a microsd higher than 256gb? You can't. And if there was, it might cost as much as the phone.

I'm pretty sure the S8 line can take a card up to 2TB but everyone will have the S13 before a card that size is affordable, if they even make one.

Go back and read it again. He was talking about the Note 8.

When the Lumia 950/XL was released it was listed as having SD expansion support for 2 terabytes. I'm thinking because Continuum was going to be the biggest advertised feature of W10 mobile and to work as intended, MS would have needed that large capacity support.

I think Samsung is headed down a similar path with a Continuum like feature and will also need that kind of support for the SD..eventually.

More battery required to operate zoom lense

I'm really concerned about the battery.. Using S7 edge now... It's good but when I travel GPS and camera etc it's not so good.. The iPhone 7 and Hawaii seem way better battery life wise.. My note 4 was great just popped in new batteries

Not worried. The battery size is on par with other flagships from LG, HTC and Samsung 😊
