Samsung Rugged Case is cheap and flimsy

Does this case add any bulk? I like thin cases. If it is thin, kick stand on it makes it awesome choice.

I couldn't resist and got mine today. Liking it so far

I love my Samsung rugged case. This is my first time having one and I initially didn't think I'd like it because it looked bulky on the pictures, but it's nice. It's the perfect replacement for the OtterBox commuter case I normally get.

Does anyone have the Samsung Rugged and the ArmadilloTek Vanguard? If so which feels/seems more rugged and drop protected?

Armadillo. I have both. It's thicker, lips a lot larger as well and easier to grip and better in the hands. Also works with Wireless charging. I might order myself a blue one too since they only had black at the time. Only gripes are the power buttons and the kickstand rattles a bit but that's not an issue. Much more protective than the Sammy case.

My biggest gripe with the ArmadilloTek Vanguard is how the buttons are flush with the case. It's hard to distinguish which is the volume down or the power button unless I physically look every time I click them. Good info on the Samsung Rugged, I was going to get it as part of my Samsung pre-order credit but I probably won't now.

The long flipper on the back of my case just fell off and when you snap it back, it is permanently loose. Then when I put some pressure on it, it snapped off. sending it back for a refund. I'm getting a Caseology Vault, which I had on my old Note 8. The rugged case would be great if it didn't have the two flippers on the back. It is a really nice case that's easy to handle. I am really disappointed because I really liked the case.

If you really want the rugged case I would just save your samsung credits and order it of amazon when the price drops or wait until Best Buy has it on sale for like $25.

I guess the kickstand is still weak on the Samsung rugged cases. Kickstand cases are a great idea but every one of them I've seen they have issues over time with the Kickstand.

Problem with that is the Samsung credit expires 12/20/19. I guess it's Samsung's way of "Use it or lose it".

You can always use it towards other stuff like powerbanks, earbuds, charges, etc. Thinking about it I was foolish using $40 of credits towards it. Sometimes I see it for as low as $20 on amazon and directly from Amazon so it's the real thing. I guess the black color wasn't selling well enough for the Note 9 last year. 3 months after it was out they had the black rugged case for $20.

Same with the Otterbox. Amazon doesn't sell them for the first month or so. But when they start selling it after about a month or two I'll see them selling it for like $35-40 sometimes depending on color.

I'm On A UAG Monarch Red Black case, but did order this won't ship out till the 23rd no hurry here thought but basically i got it free a black Samsung case for .83 cent lol. never had one of those Samsung case so will see how good it is.samsungcase.jpg

Bought this case today and coincidentally dropped my phone while trying to put it in my backpack while walking. 3+ foot drop onto concrete, corner first. Fall took some rubber off the corner and left some scratches on the case, Note 10+ went unscathed. This is my daily driver case from now on.

I find that the Note 10+ Protective standing cover is less bulky than the Note 9 version. I've been using this cover for the last few Note phones and they are usually more bulky but I'm really liking this one, looks the part too!

I purchased the Samsung Rugged cover and the OtterBox Symmetry clear from BestBuy.com and neither are rugged enough in my option and worth the price, I'll be returning them. Both feel like a minor step above a typical TPU case. I found a LifeProof Next case online and went to Sprint to check it out and it's definitely the thickest/most rugged clear case available that I've found. The LifeProof is ridiculously high at $79.99 but for a $1,100 phone maybe not.

The only problem with the Lifeproof Next cases is that the clear back scratches like butter.
Great case but I can't handle the scratches the back picks up. I mean you wipe it with a brand new microfiber cloth and it scratches.

That may turn out to be true, but that's the case with most clear backed cases. I was pretty set on a clear back so this LifeProof appears to be the best protected.
