Samsung S View Case

I first bought this case for my S9+ because I wanted something to protect the screen against smudges when it's in my pocket or while talking on a call. Of course nothing beats the S View case that Samsung did with the Note 4 back in the day but this still works for my uses. The case back pulls out and then it can be folded into a stand.

Wasn't there posts in the past that the case scratched the phones display ?

I remember reading someone who had that happen way back with the Note 4. It's obviously possible for anything to get trapped in between the screen and cover.

I think it was the official Samsung case with the magnet on the inside cover that made wake to open work. That could mark the screen.

That makes sense. This case allows the screen to wake when opened. I think the "magnet" or sensor that does this is inside the cover but it is recessed.

Some questions.

1. can the phone be used one handed with this case when the cover is closed and also take pictures? or does the cover have to be hanging open to use the rear camera?
2. does it add a lot of bulk?
3. what keeps the cover closed? or does it flop open easy?

You'll have to open the cover to take pictures and you need to hold the cover so it does not swing back to block the camera lens.

There's very little bulk in this case.

Nothing keeps the cover closed and it will open easy.

I mostly use because it keeps the screen protected from getting smudges when I put it in my pocket. I also have turned off all security so when I open the cover, the phone is unlocked and ready to use. It just makes it so much easier then having to try to unlock the phone or reach back with a finger to unlock.

Dont know how you get smudges in your pocket unless they are filled with grease. Every time I pull my phone out if my pocket, it looks smudge free and looks brand new. The pocket lining usually cleans the screen

I have a black cover as well as a blue one. The blue one is awesome as it matches the phone color perfectly. I started using flip covers when I first got a Note--4. I used to put my phone in a belt clip type device, but the note series was too big, and I looked like I was carrying a laptop on my waist. With the flip cover, I just put it in my back pocket and no worries. The flip cases by Samsung are the best. I had my Note 4 for nearly 4 years, and it still looks new. I dropped it may times, and the case protected it very well. The front cover stays put and well protected. I have never used a screen protector either.

That Note 4 S View case is why I bought this one for this phone. I loved how when I opened the cover, it was unlocked and ready to go. Enjoy your phone.
