The "correct" answers range from "just answer it" for an expert who just had a "senior moment", to a step by step instruction, including which direction to drag the green circle in (even "swipe" is technogeek for some people). (And it has nothing to do with age - I'm 77, and won't run Linux [which is the OS Android runs in, in case someone wasn't aware] without root access. It's like firing a bazooka with my hands tied behind my back. su [or, more properly, sudo], is just there to tell you "hey, you have to use sudo for this, so think". It's not supposed to keep you from actually using Linux.
